CERTH/CPERI is the main Greek organization for the promotion of research and technological development aiming at the improved and integrated exploitation of solid fuels and their by-products as well as CO2 capture and sequestration technologies. Since 1999, CERTH/CPERI has participated in over 50 EC funded and more than 20 nationally funded projects. CERTH has also built a wide experience with CFD and ASPEN Plus/Dynamic modelling in the CFB field and energy processes in general, by taking part in EU highly linked funded projects (CFB800, SCARLET, Recofuel, FLEX-FLORES, CLARA) and in nationally funded ones (Thermal Exploitation of RDF-TE RDF). Its personnel has long expertise in CFD, process simulation and control, while in 2016 has been accredited the Ansys Academic price Hall of Fame.
